Configure Netgear Router with the Cable Internet Connection

Want to setup Netgear Wireless Router? You can’t access the internet without setting up the router and you can do this task by yourself by following some easy steps. 

Here are the steps which you have to follow to Configure Netgear Router for cable internet connection with smart wizard user interface:

1.    The first thing you have to do is that you have to connect your broadband modem to the internet port of the Netgear Router and then connect then make connection between the computer and LAN  Port of the netgear Router.
2.    Then Turn ON and OFF the Computer, Broadband and Netgear Router to reboot.
3.    Launch any web browser like Mozilla, Firefox, Internet Browser or safari and open a webpage routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1 in the address bar.
4.    Now you will see a login page appear on the screen. You have to login the webpage by using default credentials or username and password.
5.    You have to fill the default username as admin and password as password.
6.    If these credentials are not working for you then use the changed password. Otherwise use the factory reset from the factory default setting to reset the username and password.
7.    After login the Netgear Router, you will see the Menu bar on the Right hand side of the screen. In which you have to click on the Setup Wizard and choose the Yes option and then click on the Next.
8.    After that a page will open in which netgear router will detect your IP address. You have to click on the Next Option.

Now your cable internet connection is configured with the Netgear Router.
